Clue 2

Well we made it to the next clue. This time it was clue 2! With the clue was a vial that I was able to charge but Ian stole it right out from under me. Threatening me by saying that he poisoned Dan and I had to exchange with him the vial for the antidote. Which I did right away, nothing is as important as my brother!! BUT it was a trick! Dan was not poisoned. The joke is on Ian because the vial was NOT the clue the paper was! HA!

We then ran into Mr. McIntyre again. He gave us back grandmother’s cat, Saladin. I am actually glad because he seemed to really make Dan happy. Mr. McIntyre offered help but I refused. I also didn’t tell him about the clue. After all we should “Trust No ONE” and I am starting to think even him.

Nellie has decided to stay with us and work for free. She said she doesn’t want to miss the fun and excitement. This is a relief. I didn’t realize how much I started to like her. So glad she is staying. WELL now it’s off to chase the next clue. Hope we can stay ahead of our evil family. I don’t know how we could be related to such evil people. Our family does not seem to have learned anything over the centuries; we are still fighting each other.

Catacombs

Well we made it to the catacombs where the next clue was. Shockingly Alastair was there and told us that he lost us at the house and thought we had died. Not sure I believe him but he did later save us when Ian and Natalie were about to shoot us with a dart gun! Still going to go with the whole “Trust No One” theory. We escaped further into the tunnels. The only way we were able to get out was by climbing through this window like door that led into the subway. OMG it was scary. We had to run fast to the later to get on the platform before the next train came. I am not sure what happened but Dan became really upset. He lost his backpack because it got caught and then the train took it away. He almost DIED! I am so glad he is okay. I just wish I knew why he is so upset about his pack. Well we have to go fast. Before the police come and ask us too many questions. The clue we found needs solved so we can move on. So glad Dan is with me and surprisingly Nellie too.

Lucian Stronghold

Ok! Nellie is becoming a good person to have along. We found were Irina went. It was to the Lucian stronghold.

We were able to sneak in thanks to Dan’s ability to memorize numbers. We were able to escape when almost caught. We followed her to the next address BUT it was a TRAP!!! We were almost buried alive! The Holts kinda helped us. They got us out of the pit we had fallen into when a bunch of bad guys showed up. I think they were going to bury us alive!! After we got out the fighting started. Dan had taken two things from the stronghold. One knocked all but two out, even the Holts. The other two I used the second thing he took, a battery by using it on the fence and shocking them when they tried to climb it. Thankfully it worked and we made it back to Nellie.

Boy was Nellie MAD! We were gone a long time! She was so worried. We ended up telling her everything, even that we had no more money!

Surprisingly she took it well. She even told us it was okay that we could use her credit card. Getting her to come seems to have really worked out well.

Now it’s time for bed! I am so tired!

Jonah

Oh I just want to scream! Jonah is so conceited. First he just about forced us to drive with him and now wants to partner us! Like we would work with him! HA! Even if we were tempted. We learned out lession with Alastair! TRUST NO ONE!

Again I want to scream! As we were driving with Jonah who do I see but Irina! She is walking down the street and she has our ALMANAC!!!! We made Jonah let us out. Hopefully we can follow her and get it back!

 

Flight to Paris

Flight to Paris- DONE

THANK GOD!! I FEEL HORRIBLE! I was stuck between Nellie and Dan who both had blasting ear buds on the ENTIRE way! And to top off the horrible flight Dan spilled his dinner on me.

NOW I AM TIRED AND I SMELL!!!!

 

Mr. McIntyre

Ok so we meant with Mr. McIntyre. He said he would give us help sometimes. Hope it helps because this is getting scary. But there is no turning back now! We have him grandmothers cat to keep safe for us. Dan was not happy but it would have been too dangerous to keep him.

Some good news! The triplets lived but they are in the hospital although it will take them a few months to heal…. So they are out of the contest.

Nellie was all ready to hand us over because she realized out aunt did not know where we were and social services were looking for us. Dan told her about Paris, where we need to go for the next clue.

Funny thing….. Now she is okay about staying with us for a few more days!! LOL!!!

Mr. McIntyre told us again. “Trust No ONE”

Bomb

OMG! OMG! OMG!

GOOD NEWS- found another clue!

Bad News- Triplets caught up to us and took a picture of the clue and stole the flashlight. Even after they threatened us to not leave so they had a head start we tried to warn them not to go out the front exit because it was dangerous!  

Worse News- a bomb went off at the front of the building! OMG! OMG! OMG! We couldn’t see triplets anywhere! All we found was the broken flashlight and their cell phone. OMG!

 

Now Nellie is freaking out that she can’t help us!

This hunt is getting very dangerous!

Secret Messages

Well we convinced Nellie to come with us. So as we were driving we noticed that the triplets were following us. Yikes can’t have that so we asked Nellie to lose them, saying it was part of the contest. LOL! Let me tell you she is great at losing people. The looks on their faces were GREAT!
 

We thought we would find something at the Library Company of Philadelphia. We did find out that flashlight Mr. McIntyre gave us is really black light reader for secret messages. The librarian told us that none of their stuff had any secret messages because they looked with their own light. Now we are off to the Franklin Institute to look at some of his letters on display.

 

And we BEGIN

OMG you would think that our life could not get more crazy but you would be wrong. First we lose our parents and have to live with our evil aunt! Then our grandmother passes away and tells our entire family that we can accept a million dollars or go on a treasure hunt. A treasure hunt that could lead you to the most powerful treasure on earth and make you powerful beyond belief. Of course most turned that down and took the money!!! But 7 teams decided to risk it and join the hunt.

I can't tell you how amazed I am to find out that we are related to people like Abraham Lincoln, Eleanor Roosevelt, Lewis & Clark and Ben Franklin. Most of the people that I lose myself in reading about I find out are related to me. AMAZING!!!! We went last to tell our decision about joining the hunt. Very unlike me, I dramatically walked up and lit our vouchers on fire declaring that WE would be joining. The lawyer Mr. McIntyre told us something that our grandmother wanted us to know. It's kinda cryptic.

Beware the Madrigals. Trust NO ONE!

Now this was after he told us that there are four branches of the Cahills (that's our family).

Ekaterina, Janus, Tomas & Lucian



I am not sure what we need to do with this information but I am sure it will come in handy. We have no idea what Madrigals means but already the four branches helped us. Well I thought we needed to go to the library to help figure out our first clue. Alistair talked us into working together because we would need a grownup to get around since our evil aunt decided to leave us, all she wanted was our money anyway. I had read most of the books there so I was thinking it was a loss but Dan realized that there was family crest above one of the book shelves and investigated it.
 

OMG it lead to a secret passageway that lead to a secret library. I wish I could have stayed there longer. We found Ben Franklin's Poor Richard's Almanack which helped us find the next clue for the first clue. Yea I know sounds strange. But every clue we get leads to more clues to find the next clue for the final treasure. This is going to take a long time. Well while looking at the almanac I realized that OUR mom had written in it. I know because I recognized her writing and it's even in the purple that she always used! Before I could read much Alastair took it to look at. Unbelievably the house has caught fire while we were in the secret library. Panicked we tried to go back out but the door was stuck. Dan and I found another exit that lead to the cemetery close to where grandmother was just buried.
 

Again OMG. We just made it out when the entire house crumbles. This is where it starts to really get weird. We spotted an old man with binoculars hidden in the trees watching us. We also see Alastair leaving the house WITH the book!!! No wonder we could not find him! HE LEFT US TO DIE!!! I am so upset. Not only did we need that book but I really wanted to read what my mom had to say! But thankfully we were able to call 911 and save Mr. McIntyre who was in the street on the ground.
 

This made us realize that we needed to find someone that was an adult but who we could manipulate so that we could still search for the clues. We had to do this quickly before our evil aunt turned us over to children's services.

NELLIE

How perfect!! Our Au pair!!! Now we just have to sell it to her!!!!!
